Tory Lanez New Album Review

Tory Lanez’s new album, “Love Me Now” is his third album, after recently dropping his sophomore album this past March. The album is full of features, trap beats, and consists of a summer time feel with songs you can vibe and turn up to. The features on this album includes an array of artists such as Chris Brown, 2 Chainz, Gunna, Meek Mill, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Bryson Tiller, Trey Songz, and more. The different styles and rap flows made the album enjoyable, and definitely something to keep in your turn up playlist. As a tory fan I can definitely say this album lived up to its expectation.

With the singles “Talk To Me” and “Keep In Touch” fans were ecstatic to hear what else he was going to release. The first song on the album, shows his emotional side as Lanez questions over and over “Why Don’t You Love Me?” We hear Lanez in a melodic tune rap, “Damn, I wish you loved me. Wasn’t it so lovely? When you used to love me?”

As we go into the second song “She Told Me,” its an instant hype song that would have the whole party bumping. It has that beat where you can’t help but to dance along.

The song “Talk to Me,” which is undoubtedly one of the best songs on the album, has more vocals than bars by Lanez, but Rich The Kid makes up for that. The beat is catchy and makes it a good addition to anyone’s late night playlist.

“Miami”, which sets the whole summer time vibe off, has Lanez giving us the best of both worlds. He comes into the song singing, then transitions into rap as he does so well. We hear him switch up his flow several times and we get nothing but incredible bars. Adding Gunna onto this track makes it one of the best on the album.

“Keep In Touch” which was one of the singles, features the greatly missed Bryson Tiller. This is one of the few songs on the album that has more of an R&B feel. Bryson raps about falling in love with a girl that he’s no longer with because of his fame, while in the second verse Tory comes in with smooth vocals. At the end of the song you hear these two voices come together that makes you want to call your ex.

The last song on the album, “KJM” is Lanez spitting bar after bar that gets you locked in listening to every word. He boasts about all he’s achieved and all the material things he can buy rapping, “And when I pop up and hop to the mall I spend like 18 Gs on nothing,” and “I turn a four-figure to a six-figure check, yeah tell me do it sound right this time?”.

Overall, the album gives you great tracks and a lot of bangers, but the album doesn’t have a lot of range. It’s feature saturated which doesn’t work for some songs on the album. It would’ve been better if Lanez showed his versatility showing his R&B side while using his high-octave voice was missed on this album, instead of adding others to switch up the flow. But, it gave us a better listen as to what Lanez can do on a hard-hitting beat.  It definitely has a few hits that will be played in nightclubs, and that’s what a hip-hop/rap album should give you.

I love to create content that captivates readers. My favorite thing to say is something you just have to block out the world and out your head down to work. I hope you are enjoying your time on the website, and I really appreciate you. Definitely leave a comment if you love what you see.
