Christine Souffrant is the founder of the app Vendedy used to connect consumers to street vendors. This app made it easy for vendors to easily upload their merchandise in order for customers all around the world to easily find their products. As a young women growing up in Haiti and migrating to the US with her family during 1998 she experienced first hand the street vendor experience because her mother worked in manhattan as a street vendor selling Haitian art to support her family. Observing how people hustled street vendors to get quality items at a low prices sparked the notion of helping to solve this problem.
Post the traggic earthquake that happened in Haiti in 2010, Christine quit her job as a banker, and moved to Dubai where she become very infatuated with creating a app that will change barriers not only for her, but people in Haiti because street vending was still a dominant profession.
