Girlfriends: The Classic late 90’s to early 2000’s sitcom. I have to admit when I was watching girlfriends was at a time I actually should not have been watching it because what these grown women were going through I did not even surface at the time, but for some weird reason I still felt the pain of the main characters. But, I still found myself yelling at the screen about things I knew nothing about. Every women can pick a friendship personality from the main characters Joan, Lynn, Mya, and Tony of their dearest closest girlfriend.

Insecure: This show is the must watch for all girlfriends. The show is mainly based around two women navigating and figuring it out this thing called dating, and adulting the right way. There is a little bit of something for all groups of girlfriends from broken relationships, polygamy, trust issues, promiscuousness, being the only black person at work, to climbing the corporate ladder just to name a few. Long story short Insecure is entertainingly GOOD!!!

Dear White People: This is for my woke group of girlfriends. That can still throw catty jokes at each other, and talk about systematic issues black women and men face daily. This shows covers the troubles young black women and men face while in college trying to figure it out. The young women in this show come from different walks of being a black women, but all face the same systematic issues when it comes to being a black women that is truly considers herself a woke sister.

Girls: An HBO classic, this is actually about a group of women that are trying to figure it out after college, while facing the daily issues of dealing with a narcissistic friendship. I know you may be thinking whoa narcissistic, but it is different when a whole group of friends unknowingly have the same issue. This shows covers the disfunction, deceitful, and loyal aspects of friendship.
